Café Cubanacán is a modern Cuban café and dessert bar that reimagines a Cuban working-class “cafeteria”. An intentionally small menu is focused on elevated versions of traditional Cuban sandwiches and sweets treats, served alongside a thoughtful selection of small-batch beers and wine, bubbly champagne, Caribbean-favorite soft drinks, and Cuban-style coffees.
A casual and intimate space, Café Cubanacán‘s weathered walls and eclectic design elements hint at the modernity and elegance of pre-Revolution Havana, while acknowledging its present-day crumbling decay. Within this poetic love letter to his lost homeland, chef Yamir Pérez invites you to “leave your egos, titles, and pretense at the door” and share a savory bite, a sweet delight, a sip, a toast, or a cafecito.

CUBANACÁN; (kyoo-buh-NAK-uhn). Historical evidence indicates the term was used by the indigenous people to describe the island of Cuba due to its prominent geographical position in the Caribbean, and it is widely considered the etymological root of the word Cuba.
